BBC Breakfast is also planning a feature on wrestling, with sports presenter Mike Bushell planning to feature the sport as one of his popular Saturday morning features when he has a go himself. And Reuters TV are also planning a feature on British Wrestling.
News of recent medal winning performances by wrestlers representing Great Britain abroad were also reported by the national news agency, the Press Association.
"It's not a bad start, but now we have to sustain that," said Red Alert Media's Peter Jones. "There are lots of good feature ideas which I'll be following up, and hopefully the more people get to know me the more they'll come forward with ideas of how we can postively promote wrestling, and the virtues of it, to a much wider audience".
